Our animated messaging app launched in 2014. The Animoji name received U.S. trademark registration in 2015.

Defending Animoji against Apple
emonster and Enrique Bonansea sued Apple for trademark infringement after Apple adopted the Animoji name for its iPhone X feature.

A settlement with Apple
The dispute ended in a settlement between emonster and Apple. Our animated messaging app continues today as Anitalk.
